oxygen absorbers versus food saver

I asked this before and can not remember the answer. Why do you need oxygen absorbers if you can just suck all the air out of the mylar bags with a food saver. I remember there being a logical answer but I cant remember what it was..

The food saver cannot pull a full vacuum, so there is still some oxygen in there.

I think this Aok for short term 1-2 year storage, but for very long term, better be safe with an absorber as well.

Forget about using Ox absorbers in mason jars, after a good vacuum its not needed.

Mylar bags is a different story.

I have done mostly dry canning and I add oxy absorbers to the jars anyway just to make me feel better.
